Aegina today, early start as usual. Caught the hydrofoil over and was there before 11am. Picked up a very shiny and new 4×4 car, thankfully it was able to make it up the hills on the island. We saw Richard and had a chat about some phd stuff, he seemed quite pleased. Then we went to a little pottery shop on the island which is very cool and we both bought stuff and managed to have a reasonable conversation with the owner and artist even though his english is as bad as my greek. Then we went to Agia Marina for lunch and found a very nice little taverna. Next temple of Aphaia and we were going to continue the visits to archaeological sites by visiting Kolona but that was closed again…oops. So we had a drive around the coast before dropping off the car and having a beer in one of the harbour side bars before catching the slow boat back to athens, accompanied by lots of seagulls and a beautiful sunset.
